Our Sunday Services
Our Sunday services are thoughtfully designed to include and engage our senior congregation members, providing opportunities for meaningful worship and fellowship.
From traditional services with familiar hymns and liturgy to quieter, reflective gatherings, we aim to create spaces where everyone feels spiritually nourished and connected. For those who may have difficulty attending, we also offer support, such as accessible seating and transportation options when possible.
Each Sunday, we come together to celebrate faith and community, ensuring that our senior members remain an integral part of our worship life.
Support in Prayer
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Thy Kingdom Come (TKC), a milestone that celebrates a decade of faithful prayer and spiritual growth. Each year, Christians of all ages and backgrounds set aside these 11 days to pray intentionally for five people they know - friends, family members, neighbours, or colleagues - to encounter the love and truth of Jesus. It's a deeply personal commitment, and yet one that binds believers together across continents, languages, and traditions.
The heart of TKC is simple: that more people would come to know Jesus. As we pray, we ask God’s Holy Spirit to be at work in the lives of those around us - stirring hearts, opening eyes, and calling people into relationship with Him. It’s a powerful reminder that evangelism begins with prayer, and that every believer has a role to play in sharing God’s love.
Whether you’re able to pray quietly at home, join in with a church group, or simply set aside a moment each day, you are part of something far bigger than yourself. This is a chance to lift our hearts and voices in unity, trusting that God will move through our prayers.
Let’s pray together this Ascension to Pentecost, and ask that God’s kingdom would come - on earth, as it is in heaven.
Our Events
Our Parish hosts a variety of events tailored to our senior members, offering opportunities for fellowship, fun, and connection throughout the year.
These include seasonal celebrations such as carol services and Easter gatherings, as well as regular social events like afternoon teas, quizzes, and special interest talks. We also organise outings to local places of interest, providing a chance to explore and enjoy time together outside the usual parish setting.
Each event is designed with our senior members in mind, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring everyone can participate fully in the life of our community.
Our Groups
Our Parish offers a range of groups and activities specifically designed for our senior church members, providing opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, and community engagement.
These include regular Bible study groups, social gatherings like coffee mornings and afternoon teas, and special events such as seasonal carol services and themed outings. Each group is thoughtfully planned to create a welcoming environment where members can deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, and enjoy shared experiences.
Whether it’s through worship, learning, or simply spending time together, these groups are a vital part of our mission to support and connect with our older congregation.
