Rooted in Grace:
David’s First Months in the Parish
Since arriving in August 2025, David has quickly become a familiar and valued presence within the Parish of Wargrave with Knowl Hill, serving both St Mary’s and St Peter’s with warmth, energy, and vision. Passionate about placing the church at the heart of community life, he has been building strong relationships across the parish and especially within our local schools, where his involvement has already made a positive impact on children, families, and staff alike.

David’s heart for ministry is rooted in helping our churches become true “Places of Grace” — communities where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and able to encounter God’s love. From community events and family activities to worship and pastoral care, he has encouraged us to open our doors wider and deepen our connections with those around us. Although still relatively new to the parish, David’s enthusiasm, kindness, and approachable nature are already helping shape an exciting new chapter for our church communities.

David’s Licensing
On Tuesday 26th August, we gathered for the joyful occasion of Revd David Chislett’s licensing service, as he was formally welcomed as our new Vicar. It was a moving and hope-filled service, marking the beginning of a new season in the life of our parish. We are delighted that David and Kate have joined us, and we look forward to all that lies ahead as we journey together in faith.
