Weekly Notices

Thursday 16th April 2026

This week we finish with the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), where we will meet for our yearly gathering.  It's a time when the church community comes together to review the past year and hear more about what is to come in 2026 and beyond.

At the meeting, reports are presented on church life, including worship, mission, finances, and activities. It is also when people are elected to roles such as the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and churchwardens, who help support and lead the running of the Parish.

St Mary's Spring Clean

On Saturday 18th April, St Mary's will also have their annual Spring Clean.  Please let us know if you are able to help for an hour or two?  There are jobs of all types to support.  Sign Up to let us know you are coming.

This Sunday - 19th April

This Sunday will be a shorter service due to our APCM, but we still take time to reflect on 'The Road to Emmaus.' As two disciples walk in confusion and sorrow, the risen Christ comes alongside them, opening the Scriptures and revealing Himself in the breaking of bread.

Alongside Peter's call in Acts, we are reminded that even in moments of uncertainty, Christ is near - leading us from confusion to clarity, and from encounter to transformation.

WARGRAVE FESTIVAL HELP NEEDED

We're excited that Wargrave Festival is coming up in June, and our church will be hosting several events as part of the celebrations.

To make these events run smoothly, we're looking for volunteers to help with set-up, welcoming and assisting during the events, and clearing down afterwards. Even an hour or two of your time would make a real difference.  The jobs are varied.

If you're able to help in any way, please do let us know - we'd love to have you involved.

Thank you so much for your support!

Need Prayer?

We see prayer as essential and a privilege and we want to be able to pray for anyone that may need prayer. There is no judgement on how big or small the prayer request is and as followers of Christ, we are free to come to him and have confidence that Jesus hears and welcomes our prayers.

If you or someone you know needs prayer, send us your prayer. The request will be sent to a group of prayerful people who will pray for you or the person in need. As a group they will only know the information you ask to be forwarded to them, and they will hold this request in confidence. The request will only be shared with the small group of people in the prayer group.
