Thursday 10th September 2026

We don't have to look far to see both the beauty of our world and the places where it is hurting.

This week we explore how our broken relationship with God affects our relationships with one another and the wider creation. Yet brokenness is not the end of the story: in Christ, God is at work reconciling and restoring all things.

Please also remember in your prayers this week all those taking part from the Parish and nationwide in Ride+Stride 2026. Pray for safe journeys, good weather and an enjoyable day for everyone walking and cycling, as they raise much-needed funds to help preserve and support our historic churches for generations to come.

Volunteer Cleaners Needed

We would love to welcome some new volunteers to our church cleaning team. The team works on a rota, with volunteers usually helping once a month on a Friday at 9:00am. It’s a small commitment of time, but one that makes a real difference in keeping St Mary’s clean, welcoming and ready for everyone.

If you could lend a hand – whether you’re an experienced cleaner or simply happy to help – we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please email Mark Puddy.

Need Prayer?

We see prayer as essential and a privilege and we want to be able to pray for anyone that may need prayer. There is no judgement on how big or small the prayer request is and as followers of Christ, we are free to come to him and have confidence that Jesus hears and welcomes our prayers.

If you or someone you know needs prayer, send us your prayer. The request will be sent to a group of prayerful people who will pray for you or the person in need. As a group they will only know the information you ask to be forwarded to them, and they will hold this request in confidence. The request will only be shared with the small group of people in the prayer group.
