This week marks the beginning of a new chapter in the life of our Parish, as we joyfully welcomed Revd David Chislett as our new Vicar. His installation service at St Mary's, and the receiving of keys, was both a solemn act of commitment and a joyful act of worship, reminding us that the life of the church is always moving forward in God's hands. Just as David pledged himself to the ministry and mission of Christ in this place, so too we, as a parish family, pledged ourselves afresh to walk together in faith, hope and love.

With hearts full of gratitude for all that has gone before, and with excitement for the journey ahead, we look forward to what God will do among us in this new season.
A Message from David
Dear Friends,
Kate and I want to thank you for the warm welcome that we have received as we start a new season in Wargrave with Knowl Hill. I have been deeply encouraged by all that has been going on during the interregnum and I'm grateful to Steve, Sue and Mark and the operations team and many others. I'm looking forward to discerning with you the ways in which God is calling us to fulfil our vision of 'Church at the heart of the Community'. I would love to see our churches known as a place of grace where God's love in Jesus is made known and experienced by young and old alike.
My prayer for our community echoes Paul's:
I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the Lord's holy people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. And to know this love that surpasses knowledge. That you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
(Ephesians 3: 17b-18)
I am looking forward to meeting all of you who have signed up to Come & Meet and/or Come & See and would love to hear something of your journey of faith. In September, we will be celebrating the Season of Creation, culminating in two Harvest Festival services: St Peters, Knowl Hill, Sunday 21st September at 11.15am and St Mary's Wargrave, Sunday 28th September at 9.45am. I hope to see you there.

What's 'NEW' for children at St Mary's
On Sunday 7th September, St Mary's will be hosting a family fun filled afternoon for all. There will be an opportunity for children (and adults) to explore what takes place at St Mary's on Sundays and beyond. There will be a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cookie decorating, glitter tattoos, a chill zone and of course, pizza and donuts for dinner.

We're thrilled to announce the relaunch of our much-loved Sunday Club at St Mary's, now with a brand-new name and fresh energy — Fun & Faith! Beginning in September (14th to be exact), we're welcoming all primary school-aged children to join us during Sunday morning services for an exciting mix of games, crafts, storytelling, and faith-building fun.
Sundays | 9.30am - 10.45am | Church Centre
We are also seeking enthusiastic helpers to join the Fun & Faith team - whether you can commit regularly or occasionally, your time and energy will help make these sessions a joy for our children. Contact Lesley to know more.

Annual Concert Ticket Day - On Saturday 13th September (9.30am - 11am), our Annual Concert Ticket Day returns, and it's your first chance to secure the very best seats for what promises to be another unforgettable evening of music and community celebration. Make sure to mark your calendars, set your alarms, and tell your friends. P.S. If you can't make it on the 13th, don't worry – tickets will still be available afterwards from our Ticket Office.
Ride+Stride - Don't forget to sign up for this year's Ride+Stride. Walk or cycle, its a great opportunity to be out and about and discover some of England's churches. Register Interest so that routes can be planned.
Ambles with Bob - Will be meeeting this Friday, 29th August, 10am at the kissing gate. See you then!
Butterflies - New term of Butterflies will be starting on Wednesday 3rd September.
