BUTTERFLIES
Bringing parents, carers and toddlers together through play, friendship and support
Being a parent or carer of a young child can be one of life's greatest joys, but it can also be challenging, exhausting and, at times, quite lonely. That's why Butterflies exists – a welcoming and friendly group where parents, carers along with babies or toddlers can come together to play, learn, share experiences and support one another.

At Butterflies, we believe that no question is a silly question. Whether you're navigating sleepless nights with a newborn, trying to establish routines, managing sibling relationships, preparing for holidays, tackling toddler tantrums, or simply wondering if what you're experiencing is normal, you'll find understanding ears and practical encouragement.
Each session provides a safe and relaxed space where children can play, explore and develop friendships, while adults enjoy the opportunity to connect with others who understand the realities of family life. Many lasting friendships have begun over a cup of tea and a conversation at Butterflies.
We regularly explore subjects such as sleep patterns, feeding, routines, behaviour, sibling dynamics, school readiness, holiday planning and the many ups and downs that come with raising young children. The shared wisdom and experience within the group often provide reassurance that you're not alone in facing the challenges of parenthood.
“I have the opportunity to discuss topics with like-minded parents and feel safe raising my concerns” - Hannah
Of course, no morning would be complete without breakfast! We serve a simple and welcoming breakfast for both adults and children, creating time to sit together, chat and enjoy a moment of calm before the day's activities begin. For many families, this shared meal has become a valued part of the Butterflies experience.
Above all, Butterflies is about community. It's a place where children are welcomed just as they are, where parents and carers can find support without judgement, and where everyone is encouraged as they journey through the early years together.
Whether you're a first-time parent, caring for several young children, a grandparent, or a childminder, we'd love to welcome you to Butterflies. Come along, enjoy breakfast, meet new friends, and discover a community that understands the joys and challenges of family life.
