Notices
Weekly Notices: Thursday 13th March 2025
As we journey through March, we find ourselves amidst significant global and local events that touch our lives and faith. Notably, the first total lunar eclipse of the year will occur tomorrow night, 14th March, visible across Europe. This celestial event, often referred to as a 'blood moon,' offers a moment to reflect on the majesty of God's creation.
With Steve away, please note that this Sunday the 8am Holy Communion service will be a Morning Prayer service. This service will follow the traditional format of Morning Prayer, providing a time for scripture, reflection, and prayer together. Likewise, the 11.15am Holy Communion at St Peter's, will be a Morning Worship service. There will be no Holy Communion served at either service.

Interregnum Update
Interviews
We had three candidates apply for the role of our Vicar. At the shortlisting meeting, chaired by the Archdeacon of Berkshire, we decided that one of the candidates was suitable for interview, and we have arranged an interview day for the 19th March. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide all involved in the day.
Join us in prayer
We invite you to support the upcoming interview next Wednesday in prayer. You are welcome to join us in person at Mike & Angie Buckland's house at 9.30am for an hour of prayer together.
Please email Mike & Angie to let them know if they are to expect you and to get address details. If you're unable to attend, please do hold this in your prayers wherever you are.

Answering your questions about faith

Lent 2025: Come and See
Over the next few weeks we want to offer a warm, open welcome to everybody in the Parish to explore the Christian faith, or to look again at the foundations of your faith.
This year, the Diocese of Oxford are inviting you to 'Come and See' what it means to be human, exploring baptism through the beautiful pictures of earth, water, wind and fire.
'Come and See' is a free online experience. How does it work? Adults get daily emails through Lent, with reflections, readings and encouragements. Each Sunday, there's a video from Bishop Steven, unpacking another aspect of baptism. Come and See is suitable for all ages - children and young people get a weekly email with a film from kids their own age, plus an invitation to try a contemplative practice, if they like.
More than 2,750 individuals took part in 2024. We hope you'll join us for 2025!
