Sunday 5th June : 12.30pm - 5pm

In 2022, Her Majesty the Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. There will be celebrations throughout the country from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June and St Mary’s Church is concluding the celebrations with The Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 5th June.

The lunch will take place on Mill Green at 12.30pm until 5pm.  Chairs and tables will be provided, guests just need to bring their own decorations and their picnics, or pre-order the 'Daisy Love Jubilee Hamper'.

There will be a children's entertainment village, band, coffee & ice cream truck and competitions for the Best Dressed Table and the Platinum Pudding.

St Mary's Church is organising this not for profit event in order to further it's desire to be a Church at the Heart of the Community, and will be sponsored by Castle Royle.

Arrival & Set Up

Please arrive from 11.30am to locate your table and get set up.  We kindly ask that you do not come any earlier as the table and chairs will still be being set up.

Parking

There is no parking on site but a drop off facility will be available between 11.30am and 12.30pm. Should you need to park, we suggest Station Road, Station Road car park or Village Car Park.

Competitions

If you have a pudding, please deliver it to the Hannen Room before 12.30pm.

All judging for the Best Decorated Table will take place between 12.30pm - 1pm.

Let the Jubilee Lunch Begin!

The event will begin with a Welcome & Party Photography at 12.45pm, so wear your best Jubilee outfit.

Departing

The event will finish at 5pm when the tables & chairs will be collected.

A fun activity for all those bakers out there will be the Platinum Pudding competition. Do you have what it takes? Are you next in line for the Great British Bakeoff?

Create a pudding for your lunch.  It can be any type.  Will you go for Steamed or Baked? Layered or Rolled? Pie or Crumble? You could copy the National Pudding Competition entry (it may take up to 4 hours to recreate) or design your own (Aldi swiss roll, Waitrose tinned peaches, Birds custard and a bottle of Harvey’s Sherry?)

Deliver it to the Hannen Room before 12.30pm for our expert judging panel.  Don't worry, you will get it back before 1pm so you can enjoy with your table.

You will be able to decorate your table from 11.30am, but not before as tables and chairs will not be in place.

Bring bunting, streamers, napkins, hats and more...

Judging will take place between 12.30pm - 1pm and there will be a prize for the winner.

Coffee & Treats will be on sale from the Daisy Love stall.
