JUNIOR CHURCH
Helping the youth grown in FAITH, have FUN, and build FRIENDSHIPS
Junior Church
(4 years - 16 years)
at St Mary’s Church
From Sunday 18th May, there will be a temporary pause in organised Junior Church activities at St Mary’s. Families attending services with children and infants are very welcome to use the activities area at the back of church, as well as the crèche. Traditionally, Junior Church has taken a break over the summer, and we plan to relaunch activities after Revd David Chislett’s arrival in late August.
Looking for a fun and engaging way for you or your child to connect with others and grow in their faith? Bring them along to Junior Church, where children under 16 gather every Sunday at 9:45 AM for a time to grown in Faith, have Fun and build Friendships.
At Junior Church, your child will:
Make New Friends – Meet other kids their age in a welcoming, friendly environment.
Have Fun – Enjoy games, activities, and creative lessons that bring faith to life.
Grow in Faith – Learn about God’s love through interactive Bible stories, songs, and discussions designed just for them.
Father’s Day: 15th June
This Father's Day, we take a moment to celebrate and give thanks for the gift of fatherhood - in all its forms. We give thanks for the fathers and father-figures in our lives: for those who guide, encourage, protect, and support. We remember too that fatherhood can be joyful, complex, and sometimes painful - and we hold space for all those for whom this day carries mixed emotions.
Above all, we give thanks for the Fatherhood of God - the one who is constant, compassionate, and close. Whether or not we've known that kind of love in our earthly families, we are reminded that in God, we are always deeply known and deeply loved.

Youth Team Volunteer
Are you passionate about working with young people and helping them grow in faith, friendship, and confidence? Our church is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Youth Team, supporting our Youth Group (Mondays) and Junior Church (Sundays).
As part of the Youth Team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and teens under 18. Working alongside our existing team, you’ll help lead activities, build relationships, and provide guidance and support during sessions.
We can offer a welcoming and supportive church community with the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
If you love working with young people and want to help them grow in faith and confidence, we’d love to hear from you! Email our Churchwardens for an informal chat.
