This coming Sunday is the Second Sunday of Advent, and we’ll be following the Star of Peace as part of our journey to Christmas. ✨
The Star of Peace reminds us that Jesus comes as the Prince of Peace – bringing calm, hope and reconciliation into a busy and broken world. As we light the second candle on the Advent Wreath, we are invited to pause, reflect and prepare our hearts for His coming.

Follow the Star…
As the Advent season begins, our days start to glow with the gentle signs of Christmas - the first candles are lit, familiar melodies return, and our homes and streets slowly brighten with hope. It’s a time of beginnings: not only the start of a new church year, but the beginning of a journey that invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and open our hearts once more to the story at the centre of it all.
This year, our invitation to Follow the Star guides us into these weeks with a renewed sense of wonder. Like travellers long ago who looked to the heavens for direction, we are encouraged to lift our eyes and follow the light that leads us towards peace, joy, and God’s enduring love. Our Churches

St Mary's
St Mary’s, Wargrave is situated on its medieval site, overlooking Mill Green which hosts many village events. The church is in an excellent state of repair and has the benefit of the Church Centre.

St Peter's
St Peter’s, Knowl Hill is located in the village beside the busy A4/Bath Road. It dates from Victorian times, built in 1840, and its original Parish was created partly out of Wargrave and partly out of the Hurley Parishes.

St Paul's
St Paul's, Warren Row is a Mission Church in the hamlet of Warren Row and is the smallest of the three churches in the Parish. It is known informally as the ‘Tin Tabernacle’ holding one service a month.
