St. Mary's Church was open throughout the Festival each day from 10 am to 5 pm for private prayer and reflection.

Our informal Morning Worship took place at 10.30 am on Sunday 26th June in the Marquee on Mill Green.
Guest speaker was the retired MP Jonathan Aitken who was jailed in 1997 for perjury. A full Marquee worshipped together and listened to Jonathan speaking about his life and his Christian experience based on Psalm 130:1-8 A recording of his talk can be heard from our Sermons Page (thanks to Sue Emms for the "lo-fi" recording in the Marquee). |

FESTIVAL BLUES NIGHT Sat, 11 June, 19:30 – 22:30 Woodclyffe Hall
The Festival welcomed The Bullfrog Band to the Woodclyffe Hall for an evening of red hot rhythm and blues! Plus local supporting acts.

Service including eight well known hymns and a special guest contribution from Susie Buckle - had to take place in Church because of the weather.
Refreshments afterwards.

BUTTERFLIES PARTY Wednesday 22nd June Venue: Row, row, row the boat St Mary's Church 'Butterflies' group invited all parents, carers, babes and pre-school children to a delicious coffee, brunch and 'paddling pool' boating on Mill Green, for water based activities, singing and stories. Enjoy being pampered by the Butterflies team! |
FLOWER FESTIVAL "WATER OF LIFE" Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June at St Mary’s Opening times: 9.00pm after the Ball Dinner
The theme was interpreted by Sheila Williams and her team of arrangers in a wealth of fascinating and innovative ways - all with beautiful flowers. Something for everyone and the artistry and creativity will appeal to all ages and sexes. Plus delicious home-made cakes and teas organised by Patsy Roynon. GRAND PARADE and FETE "Raindrop Project"
The young people of the Church rode in the parade to publicise the Raindrop project, bringing water to rural communities in Kenya. And a Maasai Warrior got more water than he bargained for!
And much icecream was served to the hot and weary fete visitors.

CHURCH FAMILY BBQ Sunday 26th June Time: 12.00 noon A relaxing BBQ and Buffet to end this year's "Wargrave on Water" Festival.
Everyone was welcome and over 250 attended for delicious food and good company. |
BRASS ON THE GRASS Sunday 26th June At Around 400 village people brought their picnic and listened to the music by the Berkshire Maestros on a magical warm sunny evening on the banks of the Thames backwater. In aid of Tearfund
