 FLOWER FESTIVAL

Friday 26, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June at St Mary’s

Opening times: see Festival programme

As part of Wargrave Village Festival 2009, a Flower Festival was held in St Mary’s depicting all aspects of Medieval Life - from the rise of our great Cathedrals to the legends of Camelot; from the merrymaking of a country fayre to the triumphs of Henry V and from the production of the Domesday Book to the bawdy Tales of Chaucer. This fascinating period of English History was depicted by the Church Flower Arranging Team, Sunday Club members and the local schools?

Have a quick tour!

Barbara Lloyd and her team of volunteers provided teas and refreshments in the Church during the Festival.

This was not only a major fundraising effort for St Mary’s, it was also a chance to be part of a very special weekend in Wargrave.
