Prayer Cycle

Pam  Gordon has produced a cycle of prayer topics "for the next generation", following the readings and sermons in Epiphany on the role that Simeon and Anna played in proclaiming the 8-day old Jesus as the Messiah (see Luke 2: 25-40). Please use this each day to inform and direct your prayers (you may download and print a copy here).

Anna and Simeon inspired prayer cycle for 'the next generation'

As Anna and Simeon recognized God’s promise in His 8 day old Son, we too are called to recognize the image of God in all His people, irrespective of their years. This list shows the people, places or activities that meet the needs of children and young people in the parish or involve them.

You are invited to pray for them as a blessing that whoever they are with, wherever they are and whatever they are doing, they will meet the love of God through those who already know and love Him and build their own relationship with Jesus.

As these wise and devoted prophets show us, we are to make God Our Father, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit known to our generation with praise and thanks for who He is and all He has done, is doing and will do with us and for us.
