Missions, Away Giving & Links to Resources

Like all churches, we exist within a wider Christian and World Community. This page provides you with some links to our community, organisations with which we are associated, and sources of information on worship and spiritual development.

Unless they are marked as internal, all the links are external and therefore beyond our control. The external links should open a new window. If any link fails, try refreshing the page (e.g. by pressing F5 in Internet Explorer). If it still fails to show, close your browser and try again. If that fails, contact Mike Buckland, who looks after this page.

The Local Church

 Oxford

The parish has three churches - St Mary's Wargrave, St Peter's Knowl Hill and St Paul's Warren Row - offering a variety of services and worship styles to suit every taste.

We belong to Sonning Deanery, a group of 16 parishes roughly corresponding to Wokingham Borough, under the leadership of Revd Canon David Hodgson (Area Dean) and  Martin Hughes (Lay Chairman).

Our Parish and the Deanery is part of the

The Diocese of Oxford

There are five Church Schools within the parish.

Wargrave has an active social, cultural and sporting life in which church members are well represented.  Wargrave News Online provides information and contact points.

The Wider Church

 Church of England

The Church of England

Anglican Mainstream    is a community within the Anglican Communion committed to promote, teach and maintain the Scriptural truths on which the Anglican Church was founded. These also guarantee its fellowship with Christians down history and throughout the world. Faithfulness to Scripture as God's Word is essential for sharing the love and purpose of God in Jesus Christ.

Anglican Mission in England  for promoting mission, biblical church planting and the selection, training and deployment of ordinands for mission and ministry authentically based upon the Bible and our Articles of Religion in the Church of England.  It is about protecting unity with those Anglicans looking in on the Church of England and assuring them that they can still maintain unity with us. It also enables Anglican ministers to remain within the Church of England, and gives a true basis for unity among evangelicals within the Church of England and across the Anglican Communion.
