Pathfinders

Our Pathfinders group is for 10-14 yr olds. It meets during the 10:30 service in Wargrave Court, next to St Mary's Church, for prayer, discussions, games and Bible study. We meet in church before going over to the Court when whoever is leading the service gives the signal for us to leave. When there is Communion, we return in time for that. All leaders are DBS checked.

Many of our Pathfinders go to summer camps. For details, see our Teenagers page.

After a lovely summer, where some of our young people went off to Christian camps, we returned in September to a slightly different format to our Sunday mornings. We have stopped using the Scripture Union material for a while and are going to spend a year going through ‘The 100 minute Bible’, which provides an overview of the main bits. Getting an idea of how the Bible flows is really important in understanding how God’s Big Picture fits together.

That’s not the only difference though. Our sessions now include worship and prayers. We spent September looking at why we do what we do in church. Why is it important that we go to church? Why is the Bible important? Why do we pray? What is the Eucharist all about? We looked at the silverware and tasted some wine and wafers.
