Church Schools within the Parish
The Parish works closely with the five Voluntary Controlled or Aided Schools located here. This relationship is formalised by the appointment by the Diocese of Foundation Governors nominated by the Parochial Church Council. But it takes practical effect in the opportunities provided to the Parish Clergy to play an active rôle in the life of the schools, in class, in assembly, and in out of school activities. The schools regard the Parish Churches as their places of worship for special occasions like Christmas or Leavers' Services.
